Copyright Workshop

Filmmakers and content creators, is copyright your shield or is it your tragic flaw? Love it or hate it, everything you create is affected by copyright law. Everything. Do you know if your hard work is protected or at risk?

• What is “fair use?”
• When do you need a license?
• Are you unknowingly a copyright infringer?
• What do you risk if you violate copyright laws?
• What if someone steals your work?
• What are “clearances” and how do you review rights and clearances for your film/work?

During this workshop, you will learn the answers to these questions and more.  You will also be provided with tools to help you review your own projects.  Please come prepared with a project in mind so you can apply what you learn.
